SAN DIEGO November
30, 2004 By joining the Greater Chinese
Initiative, International Technoprint Inc.
has solved many of the problems U.S. companies
face when manufacturing and marketing products
in China and throughout Asia.
The Greater Chinese Initiative was founded
this year by the Yamagata Printing Group
to provide manufactures with complete product
documentation and marketing collateral services.
With International Technoprint serving as
its North American business arm, these services
include content development, translation,
production and logistics for user guides,
manuals, brochures and Web sites.
“We are thrilled to be a part of the
Greater Chinese Initiative,” said
Shiro Fujimoto, president of International
Technoprint. “The partnership will
help our U.S. customers avoid the many pitfalls
associated with doing business in China
and throughout Asia.”
U.S. companies encounter complicated government
rules and regulations, which frequently
differ from province to province. Additionally,
differences in language, dialect and culture
often lead to misunderstandings, mistakes
in production and over-all poor quality
of important product manuals, literature
and related content.
Due to Microsoft certification requirements,
only select printers are permitted to produce
manuals for both Microsoft products and
products that use Microsoft software. This
makes it particularly difficult to find
a well-located printer. Other difficulties
include dealing with frequent engineering
changes, multi-language translations, confusing
currency exchange rates and tax laws.
International Technoprint’s
Solutions
International Technoprint easily solves
these problems though its Yamagata network
of companies. Based in the United States,
International Technoprint is a single point
of contact that handles all logistics and
navigates complicated Chinese regulations,
culture and economics.
In China, the network includes four sales
offices, three document development offices
and three printing plants strategically
located between Wuxi and Guangzhou. Known
as the Zujiang Delta Economic Zone, this
region generates nearly 70 percent of all
products exported from China.
International Technoprint’s printing
network also includes plants in Thailand,
Singapore, Japan and Malaysia. Every state-of-the-art
facility offers the same high-quality digital
print-on-demand and offset printing services
that customers receive in the United States.
Several of the plants are also certified
to produce manuals for Microsoft and integrated
products. Each sales office also possesses
a keen understanding local taxes, currency
and regulations.
International Technoprint also helps facilitate
worldwide manufacturing and marketing with
its native-tongue translators across the
globe. They are capable of translating English
into Chinese and 22 other languages. With
a full understanding of local cultures and
dialects, they ensure that content is culturally
sensitive and accurate.
“With the Greater Chinese Initiative,
International Technoprint now represents
the ultimate product documentation and marketing
support solution for U.S. companies wishing
to manufacturer or market products in China
and throughout the World,” said Fujimoto.
“Just tells us what you need, where
you need it and how you want it. We handle
everything with local account management
and reporting right here in the United States.”
