Nik Software Selects YAMAGATA to Localize Marketing Materials for Japanese Customers

back

SAN DIEGO January 30, 2007 San Diego-based Nik Software has upgraded the way it markets to customers in Japan with state-of-the-art translation and distributed-print services provided by YAMAGATA AMERICA Inc.

“Using Yamagata, we are able to effectively service the Japanese market, as well as any company based in Japan,” said Josh Haftel, Nik Software product manager. “Plus, printing locally is cost-effective and saves by avoiding shipping product across the Pacific.”

YAMAGATA America translates Nik Software products and Web copy to accurately reflect Japanese nuances and cultural traditions. The product boxes and all of their contents are produced in Japan at one of YAMAGATA’s printing facilities and delivered locally to the Nik Software distributor in Tokyo.

Maddie Ong, YAMAGATA global solutions project manager, handles every step of the distribute-to-print process, from obtaining raw data in San Diego to printing completed brochures and replicated CDs in Japan. “We provide Nik Software with a cost-effective and efficient way to deliver quality, localized marketing materials to its overseas customers,” said Ong.

About Localization

Localization is a new trend in international marketing. It gives companies and marketing agencies everything they need to successfully sell products overseas. Content is translated to accurately reflect regional nuances and cultural traditions. Web sites, data sheets, product manuals etc. are produced with a look that appeals to target markets. Last, yet perhaps most important, materials are printed and distributed when and where they are needed.

Distribute-To-Print Advantages

Eliminates trans-pacific shipping charges
Top quality translation and printing
Lower overall production costs
YAMAGATA has print facilities all over the world.
Nik Software can concentrate on developing quality software, while YAMAGATA handles all content services (translation, printing and delivery).
