YAMAGATA America
Inc. today announced the completion of three
new Web sites that enable Fidelity National
Title Group’s (NYSE: FNT) American
customers to easily access information in
their native languages. In addition to English,
YAMAGATA created fully functional Web sites
in traditional Chinese, Spanish and Vietnamese.
“English is a second language for
many of our customers,” said John
Berry, Fidelity manager of corporate Internet
solutions. “These Web sites allow
them to access often complicated information
in the language most comfortable to them.
The content seamlessly blends the subtle
nuances of their native tongues with technical
real estate, title and escrow information.”

ideally suited to translate content for
Fidelity’s customers,” said

“In addition to living in the United
States and having complete mastery of English
and the target languages, they all have
significant experience with real estate
and title insurance terms.”
Rather than simple HTML, most of Fidelity’s
300-plus Web files exist as .NET database
applications. In these files, the programming
code is interspersed with the copy. YAMAGATA
solved this problem by carefully extracting
all of the text before performing any translation.
The new Web sites are located at spanish.chicagotitle.com,
chinese.chicagotitle.com and vietnamese.chicagotitle.com.
