YAMAGATA Wins International Quality Summit Award

New York, NY May 31, 2006 YAMAGATA Singapore won the 2006 International Quality Summit Award at the Marquis Convention Hall on May 14th. Sponsored by Business Initiative Directions (BID), the award recognizes YAMAGATA for its commitment to quality, leadership, technology and innovation.

Serina Chia, YAMAGATA Singapore general manager, received the award. Hideo Hayashi, YAMAGATA Singapore managing director, was also present at the ceremony.
Throughout the year, BID conducts polls to help determine International Quality Summit Award winners based on several factors outlined in the Total Quality Management program. Winners must:

Offer a high level of job satisfaction
Be technologically modern
Have system efficiency
Provide leadership in society
Focus on the most profitable areas of business
