Established in 1906, YAMAGATA Corporation
is the largest technical publishing and
printing company serving manufacturing businesses
in Asia. From its global headquarters in
Yokohama, Japan, YAMAGATA Corp. offers a
wide range of services, including technical
writing, desktop publishing, translation
and localization, 3D animation, printing,
Web-based content development, and e-learning.
YAMAGATA Corp. recently celebrated its 100
birthday. Over the years, the printing industry
has experienced major technology breakthroughs,
and YAMAGATA has kept pace at every step.
Its first printer was a letterpress, which
is one of the earliest methods of printing
text on paper. In 1978, offset printing
was adopted. Today, the company produces
over 15 million manuals around the world
every month at both off-set and digital
printing facilities.
Thanks to its group companies around the
world, YAMAGATA Corp.’s advanced distributed
printing network can produce documents at
a client’s final destination, saving
considerable time and money. YAMAGATA also
offers full localization services and translation
in more than 40 different languages. This
level of global savvy is critical for international
companies with engineering, sales and marketing
facilities located around the world. YAMAGATA
lets companies think globally, while acting
locally.
YAMAGATA group companies now use the YAMAGATA
name to more accurately describe how they
serve clients. At 31 locations in eight
different countries, they work as a team
to provide international companies with
